About Me

Hello! My name is Albert Legutko and I am a devoted racing driver.
I was born on the 26th December 1999 in Zielona Góra, Poland and live in Berlin, Germany.

Passionate about all things racing, my life revolves around motorsport. I have successfully competed in international racing series for years and cannot imagine my life without it :)

My adventure with motorsports began back in 2010, when my parents bought me my first gokart, with which I spent the 2011 season, finishing 2nd in the Rotax MiniMax class in the Berlin Brandenburg Challenge. In 2012, I entered the Rotax Max Challenge Germany series and finished 10th overall. The next year meant switching classes to IAME X30 Junior and entering the ADAC Kart Masters championship in which I spent two years.
Late 2014 meant changing to the Polish Kia Lotos Race championship. My rookie season of 2015 was devoted to learning and evolving as a driver. Throughout the season I was able to regularly challenge and beat established and more experienced drivers. At the end of the year I finished 5th overall (1st among rookies), winning one race, getting a fastest race lap and a pole position.

2016 was all about stepping up my game. From the beginning I was challenging for the highest positions and was in the fight for the highest honours. 8 podiums, 3 fastest laps, 2 pole positions and 2 wins resulted in me becoming runner-up in the championship.

The success of the previous season prompted a change in championships. A new challenge emerged in entering the competitive Renault Clio Cup Central Europe series. Again, the first season was all about learning but this time as our own independent family team. Even so, in that year I reached 7 podiums in 8 race weekends, winning one race and finishing 7th in the championship (3rd among rookies).

2018 started with a lot of bad luck. Something would always come up, be it technical difficulties or sporting injustice. The season seemed over halfway through. But then, a breakthrough happened. 6 consecutive podiums, one win, a pole position and a fastest lap followed and I clinched second place in the standings at the end of the season, beating many more experienced drivers and teams. The fact that the points tally between the champion and myself was close shows that a little less bad luck could have changed the outcome of the championship.

2019 seemed like a repeat of 2018, sadly not of the fighting for the championship part. Nonetheless, I achieved 2 podiums and 2 fastest laps. At the halfway point, an opportunity like no other emerged. I had the chance to enter the TCR Europe grid for its final race at Monza, as the first Polish driver to do so. This switch has proven effective and laid the groundwork for the 2020 season.

The 2020 season was marked by us entering the new world of TCR, a step up in the world of touring cars. We entered the ADAC TCR Germany and regularly challenged the big teams, fighting for points and even achieving a podium finish overall. Gathering experience and making progress has resulted in us scoring multiple podiums in the Junior class, along with three wins in a row, despite some bad luck along the way.

The 2021 season, unfortunately, was again marked by a lot of bad luck, be it on the track through sporting injustice or in the pit garage with technical difficulties with our car. Nevertheless, when everything was going as planned, we were able to fight for good positions, best evidenced by multiple podiums and a win in the Junior class. Staying true to never giving up, we took a lot out of this season when it comes to experience and determination.
